Yes! Your belongings are stored in a secure, climate-controlled storage facility with limited access. While we keep the exact location private for safety reasons, you can trust that your items are protected from heat, humidity, weather, and theft. We treat your stuff like it’s ours — carefully packed, sealed, and stored all summer long.
What can I store?
You can store almost anything you'd find in a dorm: boxes, bins, suitcases, fridges, furniture, soft items, and more. Check the Pricing Page for the full list. If you are trying to store something we don't have listed, just shoot us a call, text, or email! We do not accept hazardous or illegal items.
Do I have to use specific boxes?
Nope! You can use your own boxes, bins, or suitcases — just make sure they are sealed, sturdy, and clearly labeled. (Labels will be provided if you don't have any)
What items are not allowed?
We do not accept food, liquids, weapons, illegal substances, flammable or hazardous materials, or anything unsealed and unsafe to store.
Yes! All fridges and microwaves must be cleaned and defrosted before pickup. Dirty or plugged-in appliances will not be accepted. (Fridges must be unplugged at least 48 hours upon arrival, cleaning fees will be applied)
After you submit the sign-up form, you'll receive a confirmation email or call within 1–2 days with a Stripe payment link. Your storage is not reserved until payment is completed.
If additional items are added at pickup, you will receive a separate invoice for those items. If your listed items don’t match what we pick up, we’ll send you an updated invoice to reflect the actual items stored.
We pick up directly from your on-campus dorm or university housing. You’ll select your building and preferred pickup time when filling out the sign-up form.
Before the fall semester begins, we’ll reach out to schedule your delivery. You’ll choose your new address and preferred time, and we’ll bring your items directly to you — just like pickup, but in reverse. You’ll get plenty of notice, so you can plan ahead.
No — we do not offer mid-summer access to stored items. Once your belongings are picked up, they will remain in secure storage until delivery before the fall semester.
You don’t need to bring your stuff anywhere — we come to you.
We’ll meet you at your dorm or university housing building during your preferred pickup time. All you need to do is be there to confirm the pickup — we’ll handle the rest.
We do not currently supply packing materials. You'll need to use your own boxes, bins, or bags when packing your items. If you're unsure what sizes we accept, check out our Pricing Page for examples of common items and dimensions.
Not at all. All items are stored securely in locked storage units that are only accessible by the StoreMyDorm team. We do not open or go through any of your belongings. Your privacy is fully respected from pickup to delivery.
You can store as many items as you need, as long as they’re listed on your sign-up form. We’ll bill based on what we pick up, and we’re prepared to handle large or small loads alike.
